Goethe's heirs

Goethes Erben is a German band formed in 1989 by Oswald Henke and Peter Seipt. The group placed in the musical scene in the early nineties along with other bands, constructing a new style in the context of the movement gothic and dark wave German. In the mid-1990s a change of style and image took place. Since then Goethes Erben conceived a work more inspired by rock and avantgarde. During the formation of the band, the idea of clinging to texts spoken in German as the central point of the music remained, which also explains the name of the band, which will be to symbolize that idea. His performances - called "Musical Theaters" by Goethes Erben - are avantgardistas musical productions. Biography

Goethes Erben was founded by Henke and Seipt in 1989, who had met working in the same hospital during their nursing studies. Unlike Henke who until then only had experience in the theater, Seipt had already participated musically in other bands.

Henke finally met in 1989 through a friendly band to Bruno Kramm and Stefan Ackermann. These had barely released the musical label Danse Macabre and were later to form the group Das Ich. With the support of Kramm Henke and Seipt recorded the film The Mirror, whose path leads to the end through mute witnesses and a live tape that appeared in 1990.
