The district of Mariscal Benavides is one of the twelve districts of the province of Rodriguez de Mendoza located in northern Peru, in the Amazonas region. HistoryChange the code

The district was officially established on 2 February 1956 by Law No. 12639 by the Government of President Manuel A. Odria. Before this law, the district was called Callejon.

It takes its name from the former President of Peru, Oscar R. Benavides. GeographyChange the code
