Aitkenhead Glacier

The Aitkenhead glacier (63 ° 57'S 58 ° 44'W / -63.950, -58.733C coordinates: 63 ° 57'S 58 ° 44'W / -63.950, -58.733) is a glacier in the Trinidad peninsula, Antarctica. It is 16 km long, flowing east-southeast from the Detroit Plateau, Graham Land, (south of Mancho and Nunatak Baley and north of Simpson nunatak and Hitar Petar nunatak) to Prince Gustav Canal (near the north of the island Alectoria).

It was incorporated into the maps from surveys of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) (1960-61), and named by the Antarctic Site Names Committee of the United Kingdom in honor of Neil Aitkenhead, FIDS geologist at Bahia Esperanza (1959-60). Map
