Marvin the Martian

Marvin the Martian is one of the characters among the famous Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoons. Description

Marvin makes his first public appearance on July 24, 1948 with the chapter called Haredevil Hare where he has the mission to destroy the Earth with his Explosive Space Modulator Uranium PU, translated in Latin America as "plutonium X dinamitum 3." We always see him accompanied by his faithful Martian dog K-9. He usually confronts Bugs Bunny, in some chapters he kidnaps him, but he also worked on the classic Duck Dodgers chapters in the 24th century (Duck Dodgers in the 24th and 1/2 century) where he faced Duck Dodgers the Duck Lucas) and the "young Cadet Space" (Porky). These chapters were the prelude and inspiration for a later series of WB called Duck Dodgers launched in 2004 in Cartoon Network.

Marvin is now a very famous character and his merchandise sells millions of dollars. He has made several roles on the big screen, including the 1996 Space Jam film with Michael Jordan in which he played as a referee in the basketball game, and in Looney Tunes' film in the new millennium, Looney Tunes: Back in Action 2003, where he is the main henchman of the president of ACME, where he shares scene with other famous extraterrestrials like the Daleks of Doctor Who. Personality

In the animated short films of Looney Tunes little is said of the personality of the Martian, other than clear of his friendship with K-9 and his desires to conquer planets (including Earth). It was not until the series Duck Dodgers, where they began to know certain characteristics about the extraterrestrial, for example: one discovers that he has an atrocious fear to the heights (because according to him he says, his mother left him hanging from the balcony of his house) , although finally it is able to overcome this panic thanks to the help of Porky pig; you will also discover that you love golf (the galactic golf to be more accurate) and that you do not give anything bad; is attracted to his superior, the queen of Mars (although she does not pay attention to him); and changes his relationship with K-9 quite a bit: in the original short films K-9 was nothing more than a simple hugo of his, however now he is more like his pet than a servant.
