Homecoming is the title of a novel by English author Rosamunde Pilcher.

The novel (English Coming Home) was published for the first time in 1995 under the license of the Rowohlt publishing house at the Wunderlich publishing house in Reinbek near Hamburg (ISBN 3-8052-0559-7). The German translation was provided by Ingrid Altrichter. More than 300,000 copies were already produced in the first year of production. In 1996, an unabridged bookmaking license was issued by Bertelsmann and one year later by Rowohlt himself. A pocket-book edition followed in 2003 and was published in the same publishing company as Aglaia Szyszkowitz, directed by Vera Teichmann in 2008. Edit content source text

In 1935 the 14-year-old Judith Dunbar lives in Cornwall, her mother Molly and her little sister Jess have to go to Singapore to Bruce Dunbar, Molly's husband. Molly finds it better when Judith stays in Cornwall, so she calls Judith in the boarding school St. Ursula. During the holidays she is to go to her aunt. Judith is slowly immersed in life at the boarding school and meets her good friend Loveday Carey-Lewis, who invites her to Nacherrow, the home of her parents, to visit her for a weekend. Judith is received with open arms in the family and is now a welcome guest. A few weeks later her aunt dies and inherits her property to Judith. From now on she lives happily with the Carey-Lewis in the holidays.

In 1939, Judith meets Loveday's older brother Edward, she falls in love with him. At first he replies to his feelings, but the war is imminent and he has no serious intentions. The war breaks out. This violates Judith very much and she decides to do her war service with the naval aid corps for women. Edward dies in the war, the friend of Loveday is considered missing, and Judith's parents are considered missing. In 1942 in the middle of the war, Judith Jeremy met a friend from Nacherrow in London. They love each other, but he has to go back to sea the next day, a reunion is uncertain. When the war ended in 1945 and Judith's sister Jess was found, she lived with Judith. Loveday's friend comes back from the war, he has survived the captivity in Changi.
