The villa is a late building of the famous architect Alexander Thomson. It was created around the year 1875, and it could possibly have emerged only after Thomson's death this year. The building has typical characteristics of Thomson's architecture, which in his designs flowed strong Mediterranean, especially Greek motifs. The villa is located in the south-west of Lenzies at the intersection between Heriot Road and Alexandra Road. It consists of two buildings, which meet at right angles and form a unit. The building, which runs parallel to Heriot Road, is two-storey and consists of polished blocks. It ends with whale and saddle roofs. On the right side, a rounded out-of-the-way outcropping occurs. Two other windows on this façade are decorated with glare arrows. A further outcrop is to be found on the second part of the building along Alexandra Road. Under the address 27 Victoria Road is another listed villa of Thomsons only a few hundred meters away. Single-level Edit source text Weblinks Edit sourcetext
