Shannon Racing Cars

Shannon Racing Cars was a British Formula One team. They took part in two 1966 Grand Prix races with Englishman Trevor Taylor, the UK Grand Prix and the Italian Grand Prix, for which Taylor was unable to qualify due to a crash of the V8 Climax engine, created by Paul Emery and Hugh Aiden-Jones. After the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix, the Forti Corse team wanted to leave Formula 1, but 30 years after competing, Shannon supported them to at least finish the 1996 season and the team competed as Forti-Shannon. They competed in 4 races with the drivers of Forti Corse, Luca Badoer and Andrea Montermini, but they did not qualify in 2 of those 4 races and in the other 2 they retired. Thus ended the story of Shannon in Formula 1.
