Bacilos (album)

Bacilos is the second studio album by Spanish pop-rock band Bacilos, released on April 24, 2001.

In signing with WEA International, Madera is retaken and relaunched under that label, but now with the simple title of Bacilos. With some modifications, in the songs list, they finally get their first production with a label

Its first single, Tabaco and Chanel, was in the first places of popularity in Latin America (mainly in Colombia) and Spain. One of the most important and most transcendental moments of the group was its integration to the tour "The Soul to the Air" realized by Alejandro Sanz, that took them to Europe, specifically to Spain. By sharing record labels, and being in Colombia in show reached an agreement between the two parties. Their participation was given when opening the concerts of the Spanish singer-songwriter. This is how they gained a great popularity in Spanish lands, whose consequence was the edition of their first disc (with a new design of their covers), exclusively for that country

Thanks to the success achieved in Spain, and in general, the success of "Bacilos" in America, was nominated for Grammy awards in the categories "Best New Artist" and "Best Pop Album, Group or Duo" which were not fortunate to win. Songs list
