Slavic University of Baku

Baku Slavyan Universiteti in Russian, Бакинский славянский университет; BSU) is an institution of higher education and public university in Baku, Azerbaijan. The institution was founded by a decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the Soviet Union on February 2, 1946 as State Institute of Teachers Akhundov. The university was refounded in 2000 on the basis of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature M. Akhundov, after a reorganization of the Azerbaijani edicative system.
