Valfar
Terje "Valfar" Bakken (3 September 1978 - 15 January 2004). He was the vocalist and founder of the Norwegian black metal band Windir. The group began initially as a personal project of Valfar, reason why was not known like "banda" until the launch of its third album, 1184, where Valfar allied with the intengrantes of the band Ulcus, who shared the same ideas that he. Valfar originally sang the songs in sognamaol, a Norwegian dialect, but later changed his decision to English in an attempt to attract a more generous audience. Valfar was a great connoisseur of the culture of his country, which is reflected in his great compositions.
On January 14, 2004, he left for his family's cabin in Fagereggi, but never got to the cabin. Three days later, the authorities found his body in Reppastølen, in the valley of Sogndal, his hometown.
