The International Festival of Eroticism in Brussels (Dutch: Internationaal Erotica Festival van Brussel) is an exhibition for the European adult entertainment industry, held every year in the month of February, and which takes place in the city of Brussels. The most important event during the festival is the European X Awards, an award given by and for the erotic film industry in Europe. The festival, as well as the awards itself, are the equivalent of the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and the AVN Awards in the United States.
Each participating country (generally Germany, Italy, France, and Spain) receives its prize pool, including best film, best director, best actor, and best actress.
The first International Festival of Eroticism was held in 1993, while the awards were opened in 1995.
