The academy opened in August 2009 includes an orchestra hall (360 m²), a chamber music room (160 m²), a rhythm room (100 m²), a percussion studio (68 m²), a teaching studio (132 m²) and three seminar rooms 50-65 m²).

The orchestra has four wings, four pianos, an extensive orchestral instrument, percussion, Mallets Percussion, Orff instruments, electronics and equipment for bands.

The same building complex also houses the youth hostel building of the town of Wolfenbüttel. It offers 129 beds in single to four-bed rooms, a dining room with kitchen, a cafeteria, seminar and leisure rooms.
