Peter Vehr

Peter Vehr, called "the Elder" (* 1585 in Brandenburg on the Havel, 1656 in Berlin) was a German theologian and pedagogue.

Peter Vehr studied in Wittenberg from 1604 and was a rector in his hometown from 1608 onwards. From 1611 to 1614 Vehr was Rector in Neuruppin, then at the Berlin Gymnasium to the Gray Monastery. In 1618 he received the appeal to a parish at the Marienkirche in Berlin, in 1632 he became Archidiakon. In 1649/50, Vehr received the post of prophet at the Nikolaikirche, and in 1651 he became a member of the electorate-Brandenburg consistory.
