Medical service of the United States

The medical service of the American military is not structured centrally as in the case of the Bundeswehr (Central Medical Service). In the US military, each partial force has its own medical service. Within the Bundeswehr, this structure has already existed. However, this was abolished after the reorganization of the medical service of the Bundeswehr. In every partial force the medical service is commanded by the Surgeon General.
