In the world of entertainment, the Green Room is space in a theater, studio or similar place that has capacity for artists not yet required on stage. The green room functions like a waiting room and living room for artists before, after and during the show when they are not involved on stage.

The origin of the term is often attributed to the fact that these rooms were historically painted green, however, in the current Green Room it is usually not.
