Joint Service Achievement Medal

The Joint Service Achievement Medal is an Achievement Medal of the United States armed forces, which is awarded for military merit to younger officers and crew service levels if the Joint Service Commendation Medal can not be applied.

All of the contingents have their own Achievement Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal is scheduled for the Joint Military Service and is awarded by the United States Department of Defense

The first Achievement Medals were created by the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard in 1961. The Joint Service Achievement Medal has existed since 1983.

Multiple editions are displayed with golden or silver oak leaves.

In the Order of Precedence, the Achievement Medals rank among the Commendation Medals, such as the Joint Service Commendation Medal and above the Commandant's Letter of Commendation and the Combat Action Ribbons. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
