Tacoma Narrows

puente Tacoma Narrows.

Tacoma Narrows is a strait in the United States, part of Puget Sound. It is created by the approach of the Kitsap peninsula and the mainland in the state of Washington. The strait is traversed by the Tacoma Narrows Bridge that connects the city of Tacoma.

This bridge collapsed on November 7, 1940 because of the resonance produced by the wind gusts that excited the natural frequencies of the bridge. This event was filmed, recording spectacular images of its destruction.
