Joachim Rennau


Joachim Heinrich Rennau (born May 31, 1919 in Berlin) is a German translator and author of novels, which can be attributed to the trivial literature: for example, "And Satan Laughs" (1946), "Todesreiter" (1949) p>

His most famous novels were published in Uta-Verlag. He wrote among other things, under the pseudonym "Rolf Randall" the booklet and book romance about the farm boy Pete, who in the wild west with his "union of the righteous" at the Salem ranch at the village of Somerset against the giddy helper Watson. p>

The first issue of the series Pete- A magazine for the youth appeared with 32 pages on October 8, 1951, under the title "The Night Ghost". The first story as a book ("The Pete Book") appeared in 1953 under the title "Der Lausbuben von Somerset". Various stories also appeared as a mini-book series in the series Pelican Tramp. The novels developed into a regular cult in the youth of the 1950s, which led to the founding of more than 980 Pete-Bünde in post-war Germany. The Romanserie ran until 1959.
