Electro-Z

Electro-Z was a Peruvian rock band, formed in the late 90's by L.A.S.E., Jennifer Cornejo and Carlangas. It is considered by many a cult band. The style is very innovative for its time, a blunt mix of melody, noise and samples. The voice mainly makes Jennifer, some songs are sung by L.A.S.E, and several subjects are only instrumental. They released their eponymous and only album in 1999, the same one that was reedited and remastered in 2005, with the inclusion five additional subjects. Shortly after the release, Carlangas leaves the band. At this time integrates Christian Vargas, who plays the drums in the live performances.

In 2001 they decided to move to New York, where they faced difficulties which did not allow them to have a very productive start. The band as such comes to an end in 2003 when L.A.S.E. and Jennifer decide to compose songs in English and change the name of the band, creating DASHER.
