Roberto Ruiz Obregón


Roberto Ruiz Obregón. He was born on June 3, 1904 in Amealco, Querétaro. His parents were Don Federico Ruiz Obregón and Doña Cruz Obregón Ocaña. At the age of 8 Don Roberto began collaborating with his family selling homemade soda that his sister Santa Ruiz made. He worked in the National Railways of Mexico, where he was a telegrapher and station manager. In 1938 it obtained the concession of distributor of Coca Cola in the State.

In 1945 he obtained authorization to bottle the Coca Cola product, thus being born his first soft drink bottling company, called "Embotelladora La Victoria". He was a pioneer of the industry of Queretaro and a great benefactor in the line of education. He is considered as "Favorite Son of Amealco", where he promoted multiple works of social importance for the good of Amalek's society.
