Jonathan Landman


Jonathan Landman (born November 14, 1952 in New York) is an American journalist and deputy editor-in-chief of the New York Times.

Landman studied history at Amherst College (B.A. degree, magna cum laude 1974) and journalism at the Graduate School of Journalism, Columbia University (M.S. degree, 1978). He worked for various newspapers, from 1985 to 1987 for the New York Daily News, Newsday and The Chicago Sun Times, and then switched to the New York Times, for which he was, inter alia, Deputy Head of the Washington Office and New York's responsible editor -Ressorts. Since 2005, Landman Deputy is deputy chief editor of the New York Times and responsible for digital journalism. He is married and has two children.
