Declaration of Frankfurt

The Declaration of Frankfurt is the general name given to the principles entitled Objectives and Tasks of Socialist Democracy published by the Socialist International in Frankfurt, Germany, on July 3, 1951. The Declaration condemns capitalism because it places "property rights before the rights of man," because it allows economic inequality, and because of its historical support for imperialism and fascism.

The Frankfurt Declaration was modernized at the 18th Congress of the Socialist International held in Stockholm in June 1989.
