Celaya Chamber Orchestra

The Celaya Chamber Orchestra was established in December 2005 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. The focus of his repertoire has three areas of interest: chamber music (Baroque and classical), sacred music and Mexican music. It consists basically of a string quartet adorned by flute and oboe, who also sometimes have a dominant role. The piano generally gives harmonic support to the ensemble or may have some small solo piece. Very important is the use of the two voices (soprano and mezzosoprano) that enrich the ensemble and give greater possibilities in the selection of the repertoire. Components

Lorena Méndez (soprano and viola), Frida Portillo (mezzo soprano), Karina Ruiz (transverse flute), Norberto Hernández (oboe), Orlando Arreguin (violin), Omar Molina (cello) and Flavio Sarabia founding and active members to date.
