Heifer

For other uses of this term, see Heifer (disambiguation). Bullfighting.

Heifer or heifer is the name given to a calf when its age is between one and a half to two years. In Spain

In Spain, this term is used to describe non-tamed cows (brava) of two to four years usually used in festivities.

They are used for the realization of capeas, clipper shows or comic bullfighting in bullfights or urban areas provisionally closed for the realization of these popular acts. In the streets of some villages, heifers are used in bulls instead of bulls or steers because of their lesser danger.

It is common for shaved pythons to be worn so that they do not cause serious injury to their thrusts.
