Rodolfo Sierra
Rodolfo Sierra, was born in Salta on April 18, 1918 and was the grandson of one of the founders of the city of Metán. He graduated as a lawyer at the National University of La Plata in 1944. He founded the Agricultural Cooperative, the Rotary branch and the Southern Rural Society in Metán.
As director of the Provincial Bank founded in 1958 the entity's Metán branch. He was a candidate for governor by the Provincial Union in 1963.
In 1966 declined the position of delegate of the dictatorship in Salta offered by Onganía.
In 1970 he formed the Popular Conservative Party with Vicente Solano Lima and when he emerged as a candidate for national legislature for the 1973 elections he suffered the tragic accident that cost him his life. He was injured in RN 34 on 27 December 1972 and died on 4 January 1973.
