Ricardo Filangieri
Ricardo Filangieri (Italian: Riccardo Filangieri, approx.1195 - 1254/63) was an Italian nobleman who played an important role in the Sixth Crusade in 1228-9 and in the War of the Lombards of 1229-43, where was in charge of the forces of Frederick II, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, fighting against the opposing forces of the local barons directed first by Juan I of Beirut. During the first half of its race Filangieri was Ghibelline, but during the second one Guelfa. He was a member of the Filangieri family of Campania.
