Organic Law of Budgetary Stability and Financial Sustainability

The Organic Law of Budgetary Stability and Financial Sustainability (LOEPSF) is an organic law of the Spanish legal system whose objectives are to guarantee the financial sustainability of public administrations, strengthen confidence in the stability of the Spanish economy and reinforce the commitment of Spain with the European Union in terms of budgetary stability The LOEPSF requirements apply to all public authorities.

The LOEPSF establishes fiscal rules, which are numerical limits on certain budgetary aggregates. Limits are set for the structural deficit and public debt, as well as a spending ceiling. Notes and Bibliography
