Juan Carlos Vellido is a Spanish actor, born in Barcelona on March 18, 1968.

His career is divided between cinema, theater and television. Between his last appearances in cinema we have seen him like protagonist of Jordi Mollá's prime opera as director (We are nobody) and has worked under the orders of directors like Guillermo del Toro (The spine of the devil), Maria Ripoll (Utopía) or Manuel Huerga (Salvador).

He has appeared in the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean as Spanish captain.

Juan Carlos Vellido has also published two literary works: Escorzos and El hombre que vivi en un pecera, both published by Editorial Martínez-Roca.
