Vertigo (magazine)

Vertigo (12 numbers) was a comic magazine edited by New Frontier from 1982, and therefore in full boom of the adult comic in Spain. He collected material from the French Pilote. He emphasized by publishing abundant work of Enki Bilal and the hyperrealism of Lionel Bret. Lauzier and Milo Manara, among other artists, gave the magazine a certain reputation, but it was not enough to emulate the success of the original. In 1986 Nueva Frontera relaunched the magazine with the subtitle of new series, with covers and more erotic content, a line that a year later would adopt with more success Totem the comix. The invention would only last 4 numbers. The story of Vertigo, like other publications of the time, was marked by the large number of comic magazines competing in kiosks.
