Studies on ancient Egyptian culture




The Egyptian Periodical Studies on Ancient Egyptian Culture (SAK) contains first publications and adaptations of documents and monuments as well as archaeological, philological, historical and religious studies and treatises. It was founded in 1974 by Hartwig Altenmüller and Dietrich Wildung. With band 21 (1994) of the SAK Hartwig Altenmüller took over the sole publisher, from volume 32 (2004) together with Nicole Kloth. From volume 39 (2010) the "SAK" of Jochem Kahl and Nicole Kloth are published. It is published every year by Helmut Buske Verlag.

Since 2010, the editors have been supported by an advisory board for the assessment of the manuscripts. The members of the editors provide expert opinions on the anonymous manuscripts.

In addition to this, the SAK regularly publishes supplements, which are reserved for collections, congresses and monographs. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
