"Outside" -literally in Spanish: -afuera- is a song by British disc jockey and producer Calvin Harris, with the collaboration of the British singer Ellie Goulding, included in the fourth studio album of Harris, Motion , As well as in the deluxe edition of Goulding's third album, Delirium, which was released in digital format on October 20, 2014, as the fourth single on the album and reached # 6 on the UK singles chart .

It's the second collaboration between the two artists since "I Need Your Love" in 2012.

Music video

The music video is directed by Emil Nava. It was filmed on October 20, 2014 in Los Angeles and released on November 12, 2014. The video shows two separate couples in toxic and abusive relationships. Harris and Goulding each interpret partners in separate relationships who both seem to be the primary recipient of the abuse. The video is also interspersed with scenes of Goulding singing directly to the camera in front of a suburban house, surrealistic images that fold the first and second plane, objects in the frame of freezing in time, Goulding being suspended in the air, and Goulding floating rectangular mirror that finally breaks. The video ends with Goulding and Harris together in the house in the middle of a frozen mid-fight scene, leaving the viewer to question what version was reality.
