Leela's Homeworld

The world of Leela or Leela's home planet (Spain) is the 56th episode of the American cartoon television series Futurama. Synopsis

The Professor shows his latest invention: a phosphorescent nose that can be placed on top of his normal nose. But the machine that the factory produces some toxic byproducts. Hermes finds out and gives two alternatives: properly dispose of that toxic waste or bribe it and, whatever it does, it's $ 500. To Bender it seems a scandal to him and proposes to the Professor to take charge of the toxic waste for only 499 dollars with 100 cents (that is to say 500 dollars). The Professor accepts the proposal of Bender, and he proceeds to throw the waste through the sewer. But the mutants living in the sewers this does not seem very good idea.

Then, Leela, Fry and Bender decide to go down to look for the toxic wastes to the sewer and accidentally run into three horrible mutants that attack and bind them. Wanting to turn them into them, the mutants want to put them in their toxic waste pond so that Leela, Fry and Bender are mutants. When they were escaping from the mutants, they entered an abandoned old house where there were pictures of Leela's life as if someone spied, and among those things, was the letter that Leela had when they left it to the orphanage, just after the mutants caught them. But before, hooded mutants, they tell the others that they simply throw them and they go up but Leela does not do it because I wanted to investigate everything.

Later, Fry takes Leela's letter to Professor Farnsworth to find out the language in which it was written, just after analyzing, they discover that not by the letter but by what the paper is made of, which is a role that is only in the culverts deducing that Leela is not an alien but a mutant. Just at that moment, it shows a memory of what happened in fact: twenty years ago, Leela was born of a pair of mutants that took her to the orphanage in the city to live the horrible life that the mutants suffer, and taking advantage of the fact that she has no mutations other than her only eye, her mother put a letter written in an alien language so that they thought that it was alien and thus fit between humans , returning to the present, Leela enters the house of the hooded mutants and wants to kill them but in that moment enters Fry, who unmasks them and shows that they are Turanga Morris and Turanga Munda, the parents of Leela.Leela realizes in that mom so that she is a mutant and is very happy to find her parents. (Of course, at that moment Bender had watered them, but even he thought the moment was tender.) At the end there are memories of the past of Leela's parents who they were taking care of her in secret, as when Leela was a baby and her parents protected her from certain dangers, when a girl was left when she was left with a box of cookies without her noticing, or when Leela was a teenager and her parents gave her a secret birthday present or as an adult when her parents clothed her at night.
