Darvis Patton


Patton (second left) in 2007. Darvis "Doc" Darrell Patton (December 4, 1977) is a retired American track and field athlete who competed in speed racing events. He is a United States champion twice in the career of 200 meters and won the silver medal in the event of the World Championship of 2003. He is an Olympic athlete in three occasions and participant in four occasions in the World-wide Championship.

Patton has been very successful with the US 4 x 100 meter relay team, being a gold medalist in 2003 and 2007, as well as an Olympic silver medalist twice (2004 and 2012). He has also had bad luck in the relay, having participated in the disqualification of the US team at the 2008 Olympic Games, the 2009 World Championships and the 2011 World Championships.
