Anthony Shakir


Anthony "Shake" Shakir (* 1966) is an American techno and house producer from Detroit.

Since 1981 he has been mainly active as a "living room producer". In 1988 he appeared in the sampler "Techno: The New Dance Sound of Detroit", which was released in the UK, and which made Detroit-Techno famous in Europe for the first time. In 1995, he founded the Frictional Recordings label with Claude Young. In 2004 he was founded in Germany by his collaboration with the band F.S.K. also known outside the electronic music scene.
