María del Carmen Díez Orejas


María del Carmen Díez Orejas (Madrid, August 30, 1964) is a Spanish diplomat, since October 2011, the Spanish ambassador to Namibia.

Graduated in Law, entered in 1991 in the Diplomatic Career. It has been used in Spanish diplomatic missions in Nigeria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. She has been Technical Adviser at the General Directorate of Foreign Policy for Europe and Advisory Adviser for Inter-American Affairs at the General Directorate of Foreign Policy for Latin America. From 2005 to 2008 she was Deputy Director General of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and from July 2008 to July 2011, she was ambassador to Guatemala, being replaced by Manuel María Lejarreta Lobo.
