Aggressive Executives


Aggressive Executives was a Spanish pop music group, one of the most emblematic of what was known as the Madrilenian move. History

Founded at the end of the 1970s, when Carlos Entrena and Poch decide to leave the Paradise group and contact other youngsters, thus creating the new formation.

After going through various stages in Madrid and acting as opening act for Paul Collins Beat, the record Hispavox fixes on them and gives them the possibility of entering a recording studio. From there would come the single "Mari Pili", with the theme "Stereo" on the B side.

Mari Pili's refreshing and funny lyrics made her not only the song of the summer of 1980, but one of the most remembered anthems of the Madrid movement.

In the face of the overwhelming success of the initiative, it was decided to record a second single with the songs "Hay pelea" and "Te espío". Nevertheless, the criticisms appeared during those months marked to the band of commercial and "pachanguera", labels that strongly annoyed to the members.

Relations with the record company deteriorated and the new album did not see the light. In February 1981 Aggressive Executives dissolved as a band. His members then began other projects, integrating in mythical bands of the time: Jaime Urrutia in Cabinet Caligari, Poch in Derribos Arias, Carlos Entrena in Tenth Victim and Paco Trinidad began his time of record producer with Clarified and the seal Accidental Recordings .

In 1986, Hispavox released a mini album with eight songs including the 1980s singles "Mari Pili", "Stereo" and re-recording "Hay pelea" and "Te espío". In addition, four songs were re-recorded from the old scale models.
