Redstone Sparta Rakete bei den Startvorbereitungen in Woomera

Sparta or Redstone Sparta was the name of a rocket, consisting of a Redstone middle range rocket as the first, an Antares rocket as second and a BE-3 as a third level. The Sparta was launched nine times to re-entry tests in Woomera 1966/1967. The tenth Sparta, left as a substitute for the reintroduction program, was made available to the Australian Weapon Research Establishment (WRE) to bring the first Australian satellite to orbit Wresat on 29 November 1967.
