Starwood Amphitheatre

Das Starwood Amphitheatre (auch First American Music Center und AmSouth Amphitheatre) war ein Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee.

The foundation stone for the site was laid on 11 November 1985. The construction of the theater cost about eight million US dollars and ended on 20 June 1986. On the site, internationally successful artists and music groups such as Eric Clapton, Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe appeared. On 21 October 2006, the theater was permanently closed. On 27 September of the following year the demolition works began. The site covered some 18,000 visitors.

Industry connoisseurs attribute the closure to the age and the size of the building. It no longer offered the usual amenities today, and was only about two-thirds of what is expected today in North America from a venue of this kind. The site has been unbuilt since the demolition. Edit sourcetext
