Emmanuel Nachschon

After studying law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, he joined the Israeli Foreign Ministry in 1992. From 1994 to 1996 he was Second Secretary of the Israeli Embassy in Caracas. Following this, Nachschon was responsible for relations with the European Parliament in the Israeli delegation to the European Union in Brussels.

In 1999, he joined the Israeli Foreign Ministry, initially as an adviser in the Western Europe Department, then as Deputy Ministerial Spokesman from 2000.

In 2002, another foreign mission followed: Nachschon served as an ambassador to the Israeli Embassy in Ankara.

In 2006, he returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he headed the Department of Diplomacy and Civil Law.

Since August 2009, he has been an ambassador of the State of Israel to the Embassy in Berlin and has been the head of the embassy in the absence of an ambassador from November 2011 to March 2012.
