Nikolow studied at the Academy of Arts in Paris from 1903 to 1907. From 1910 he was a professor at the Kunstakademie in Sofia. From 1914 to 1927 he lived in Rome.

For many marble sculptures, he devoted himself to maternity. In addition, he created monumental works and busts of famous personalities. Nikolow was awarded the Dimitrov Prize.
