Anetseder was only active in the parents' farm, before he had to go to the military service in 1916. It was not until 1919 that he returned and visited the agricultural school in Passau. In 1921 he took over the farm of his parents, including a brickyard and a power plant, which he operated from then on. Anetseder was elected Mayor of the municipality Kellberg (today to Thyrnau) in 1930 and was the managing director of the Bezirksbauernkammer Passau. He was also a member of the Kreisbauernkammer in Landshut. He was a member of the board of the Christian peasant association before 1933 and was arrested in 1933. In 1945, he was again mayor of Kellberg and also district administrator of the Bavarian farmers' association Passau. On 1 December 1946 he moved into the Landtag of Bavaria. During the current election period, he died when his successor moved over the Bavarian national list, the deputy Anton Maier.
