Tele Match

Telematch was an entertainment program of German origin. It was produced by Transtel between 1970 and 1979, with a total of 43 episodes, and was dubbed into English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Hindi. With a similar theme to other programs such as Intervilles and It's a Knockout (later this was later), each chapter of the series consisted of a competition between different cities of West Germany (initially between two, then was between five) in tests of skill, usually racing and games against the clock. What differentiated him from other programs was the fact that each chapter had its own atmosphere (for example, Stone Age or the Far West). Thus, the participants had to wear clothing appropriate to the theme of the episode. International Transmission

During the 1980s, Telematch was broadcast in several Latin American countries. In Argentina by Channel 11 on Sunday mornings. In Paraguay by Channel 9 also on Sunday mornings. In Peru was seen through Channel 7, and in the early 2000s by JN19. In Venezuela by the extinct National Television (Channel 5), and also by Televen (1988).

Also in Cuba was popular Sunday broadcast during the '90s. As a curious fact, this series still diffuses in India and Costa Rica, where it continues to be successful.

In Spain, between 1995 and 2005, TVE 1 put on the air a program called The Grand Prix of the summer, with a format similar to Telematch.
