At the beginning of the episode Jack was in a portal opened by Aku. Jack falls into the world in a distant future, in which Aku has had several years of his mastery of evil. Jack uses his fighting techniques and athletic skills to avoid being targeted by a futuristic car and crushed by a land vehicle, which impresses three guys who call him "Jack." There he learns that Aku is the ruler of the world. When entering a place to drink something has a meeting with a group of robots. Jack confronts them, which is observed by a group of 3 archaeological dogs who invite him to drink. Jack befriends them and learns of his work for Aku, as well as where Aku sent him thanks to the portal. Jack agrees to help the dogs to free themselves from their eternal bondage by seeking jewelry for Aku. On the other hand a waitress finds out about Jack's intentions and goes as a spy to see Aku where he tells her about "an old warrior of great power and courage" and what he is going to do.
