Río Arillo

The Arillo River is a pipe (not a river), of the province of Cadiz, that separates the Island of Leon from the island of Cadiz, separating therefore the municipal terms of the cities of Cadiz and San Fernando. Today it coincides approximately with the pipe that feeds the estuaries of the salt mine Tres Amigos, in the municipal term of San Fernando.

The Río Arillo channel constitutes 25% of the wet system of the Bay of Cadiz. Trekking

To the pipe can be accessed through a path that leaves the Camposoto road. Within the Natural Park of the Bay of Cadiz, it is surrounded by marshes and lagoons. Some birdwatchers stand out along the way.
