Limnas (in Greek, Λίμναι) is the name of an ancient Greek settlement of Messenia that at certain historical moments had belonged to Laconia. Pausanias locates it in the interior, in a border area between Laconia and Messenia, near Calamas and emphasizes of the place the sanctuary of Artemisa Limnátide where, it was said, had died Teleclo, king of Sparta, at the hands of the mesenios Tacitus recounts that in the year 25 this sanctuary was the object of a dispute over their possession between the Lords and Messenians, since both pretended to have historical motives that gave them their reason, and on that occasion the reason was given to the Messenians.

There are remains of this sanctuary in the vicinity of the modern town of Volimnos.
