Cneo Cornelio Coso (consular tribune)

Cneo Cornelius Coso (in Latin, Gnaeus Cornelius Cossus) was a consular tribune in 406 BC. C., year in which it was in charge of the city, while his colleagues marched against the veyenses. He was military tribune with consular powers for the second time in 404 a. C., and a third time in 401 a. C. In this last year, the Romans devastated the country of the capenates, but the enemy did not dare to venture in a battle.

Cornelius Coso established a third stipendium that would be paid to riders whose horse was not supplied by the state and is supposed to have promoted the candidacy of his half brother or cousin, the plebeian Publio Licinio Calvo Esquilino, to the magistrature of tribune consular in the year 400 a. C.
