Baseball and Softball Club of the City of Gavá (Barcelona) Spain. History
The Gavà Baseball and Softball Club is a Sports Entity that has documented more than 60 years of history. Its beginnings go back to a group of workers of the old factory of the Company Roca Radiadores, towards years 40, whose efforts took to them to triumph in the Championships of Spain and Catalonia of the Category Juvenil in the decades of the 60 - 70 In 1973, the section of this factory ceases to exist, and the current Gavà Baseball and Softball Club is founded. goals
The Gavà Softball and Softball Club has a triple purpose:
First, and as is easily understandable, training our players in all aspects related to their physical and technical training in the field of baseball and softball.
Second, and no less important than the previous one, to instill in our players the spirit of equal and respectful treatment both to their own teammates and to their sporting rivals, inside and outside the same. The work that takes place during the training sessions, as well as during the participation in different competitions, allows us to instill in our players values very useful for their formation as people, such as the spirit of effort and improvement, both individual and collective, or the importance of teamwork to achieve, with the sharing of responsibilities, a common goal in an easier and more efficient way.
Thirdly, our Club considers its involvement in different social activities of the city in which the Club is located, the municipality of Gavá. In this sense, the promotion of participation in minority sports in the field of schools and the approach of our sport to young people with physical or mental disabilities, is a clear commitment of our Club to participate in improving the services of our community. In addition, in response to the growing incorporation of citizens from other countries to our city, especially those who have Latin America as their place of origin, where Baseball is one of the most popular sports, our Club can be useful to facilitate the incorporation and integration of both children and parents in our society, without forgetting their idiosyncrasy.
