Marcelino Flores Conoin

Marcelino Flores I met Cohnhein, a Spanish soldier who fought in the Spanish Civil War.

In July 1936 he was commander in the regiment Vitoria nº8 garrison in Malaga. Possibly he followed his companions the first days in which they maintained an attitude favorable to the uprising. After the talks between the military and civilian powers, the troops show their loyalty to the Republic on July 19. Thanks to the action of the civil governor José Antonio Fernández Vega, there is no repression on most of these military personnel.

There is no news about his performance on the Malaga front.

On January 21, 1937 replaced Simón Calcaño as the second head of the Guadalajara column, being in front of the start of the battle of Guadalajara.

After the war, around 1940, we find him in Spain with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
