Ignacio Mora y Villamil

Ignacio Mora and Villamil was a Mexican military man. He participated in several combat of the center of Mexico during the American Intervention in Mexico, in which he was general in chief of the Army of the North. He was several times Minister of War during the governments of Anastasio Bustamante and Mariano Paredes Arrillaga. In addition, also it carried out the direction of the Corps of Engineers. He wrote a book called Treaty of fortification, attack and defense of squares that was turned into work of text of the Military College. He died in 1870.
