The Church of the Trinity was consecrated in 1858 by Bishop Jens Lauritz Arup. It is a church of central plant of Neogothic style, with two steeples and a dome of eight sides. It was designed by the hamburger architect Alexis de Chateauneuf, but some time later the work was carried out by his student Wilhelm von Hanno, who made some modifications to the original drawings and put his personal stamp on the details of the interior decoration. The main organ (1872) is by Claus Jensen, the altarpiece of the high altar (1866) is a painting by Adolph Tidemand, chandeliers were designed by Emanuel Vigeland in 1923, and Frøydis Haavardsholm was the author of stained glass. / p>
